House Wires and Flexible Cables

Svarn produces high quality wires using 99.97 pure electrolytic grade copper with more than 100% conductivity. The wire is insulated with specially formulated superior grade of PVC compound with a high oxygen and temperature index. These property help in restricting the spread of fire even at very high temperature. The special compound also offer high insulation resistance and dielectric strengths. Insulation is applied over the conductor by the process of dual extension using state-of-the-art extension lines. All wires are subject to high voltage spark testing to make sure that there are no weak spots on the insulation.

Properties : Svarn introduces multistrand flexible house wires with Fire Retardant properties. Specially formulated insulations with a high oxygen and temperature Index.

Conductor : Thin strand of Electrolytric Copper are multidrawn simultaneously for uniformity of resistance, dimensions and flexibility & the conductors drawn from bright electrolytic grade copper are annealed and bunched together.

Insulation : The bunched conductors are insulated with FR PVC compound with a high insulation resistance value. The insulation process is carried out on modern high speed extrusion lines which ensures high accuracy and consistency in performance. Flame retardant properties enables the cable to withstand overload. The insulation is resistant to boiling water, steam and vapours.

Marking : The cables are printed with generic marking Svarn – FR- PVC wires.

Colours : Red, Yellow, Blue, Black, Green

Packing : 90 mtrs / 100 mtrs coils packed in protective cartons. Project coils of 180 mtrs and above are also available on request.

Insulation : Specially formulated grades of FRLS & ZHLS insulation compound is used. The performance of this cable in a fire situation is exceptionally good. The insulation does not burn readily. It does not melt and drip. The smoke is negligible, transparent, non-toxic. The victims traps in fire do not suffocate and help in fire fighting.

Marking : The Cables are marked Svarn FRLS/ZHLS - PVC Cables.

Colours : All Colours mentioned with white strips.

Single Core Flexible Cables

Svarn Flexible Cables use the best E.C. Grade copper procured from primary manufacturers to ensure low conductor resistance. In addition, Flame Retardant insulation provides increased current carrying capacity & thus cost effectiveness.



Conductor : Plain annealed copper conductor as per IS:8130
Insulation : Primary - Natural Type A PVC.
Secondary - Skin colour coated PVC (25 sq. mm &
above are provided with unicolour Insulation only)

Multicore Flexible Cables

Svarn multicore flexible cables have wide range of application in machine tools, appliances, control panels, machinery and industries of every nature.

The conductors, drawn from 99.97% pure bright electrolytic grade copper with more than 100% conductivity, are annealed and bunched together. The conductors are insulated with a PVC compound with high insulation resistance and dielectric strength.

In case of multicore cables, the insulated cores are laid up to form the core assembly. The inner cores are coded for ease of identification as per National/International coding practices. The sheathing is provided with a specially formulated PVC compound to facilitate not only ease in stripping but also to withstand mechanical abrasion while in use. These PVC compounds use for insulation and sheathing have high oxygen and temperature index. These properties help in restricting the spread of fire even at very high temperatures.

The single core and multicore sheathed cables are manufactured as per IS 694 : 1990, in sizes from 0.5 sq. mm. to 50 sq. mm. in single core and in size 0.5 sq. mm . to 4.0 sq. mm. upto 5 cores. These sizes carry the prestigious ISI mark and are duly approved by FIA/TAC. The rest of the sizes generally conform to IS 694 : 1990.
